The 61st Annual Missouri S&T Asphalt Conference will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 3-4, 2019, at the Missouri University of Science & Technology in Rolla, Missouri.
Presentations at the conference include: impact of rainfall and flooding on paving practices; recycled asphalt shingle: best practices; Rolla Airport full-depth reclamation project; plant burner operation and maintenance; Columbia Airport emergency case history; paving machine maintenance; quality control best practices; low gyration mixes; fingerprinting binders, additives, and modifiers; cost-effective friction surface treatments; asphalt advantages; city-owned asphalt plants pros & cons; transitioning from nuclear density gages; MAPA update, Flexibility Index text methods; compaction assessment using density profiling; new FAA construction specifications; electronic ticketing; intelligent compaction projects; micro-surfacing, RAP specific gravity; gyratory compactor calibration, and more.
The conference should be of interest to paving contractors, public agencies, consulting engineers, testing labs, aggregate producers, asphalt binder suppliers, and equipment technical reps. Personal Development Hours (PDH) will be awarded.
